I began my practice to provide Psychotherapy  to a diverse population of adults and senior adults. I am an active and supportive listener who demonstrates genuineness, warmth, empathy, and sensitivity. My practice is based on the principles of cognitive therapy identifying "dysfunctional", "irrational" thinking that causes people to experience depression, chronic worrying, and frustration. I teach the client to recognize words, thoughts, and events that trigger negative, irrational thoughts and to restructure these irrational thoughts into rational thoughts by disputing and challenging the irrational thoughts.

We have moved away now, but when I lived in Reseda, I would visit with Dr. Williams regularly. She really helped me through some mental blocks I was having and was always a great listener too. I miss her but recommend her to anyone in the area looking for some counseling or advice.
