FINE SOUTHERN FOOD Cooked from scratch for over 27 years using traditional family recipes. A little piece of Alabama in Northern Virginia. Dixie Bones opened in Woodbridge, VA on January 2, 1996. The next day, a record breaking snow storm closed us down. We reopened two days later & have been serving traditional Southern barbeque, sides, desserts, & brewed sweet iced tea ever since. Yummy---but Lacking

We really enjoyed the food, the waitress was kind, and prompt.... And the food arrived at our table very quickly.... However--- for being a BBQ restaurant I was expecting a large variety of BBQ sauces, they had 4---and none of them were very good at all. Soooo yummy food, but the BBQ sauce was a huge bummer!

Cafeteria Style -Blah B-Que

We were truly disappointed in Dixie Bones. The brisket was lacking flavor and looked like it was cooked in a crock pot; the sides looked straight out of a can. We didn’t even order dessert after hearing a couple sitting next to us complain about their pie. To make things worse, before we got to taste this cafeteria style cooking, we ordered our kids some to-go meals.

Our kids solidified our opinion of this blah food when they both, we out our prompting, only ate half their meals and ditched the rest in the trashcan. I asked them both what the problem was, and they, in more than so many words, stated the food was terrible. $56.00 bucks for weak service, lame atmosphere and kind of gross food (the presentation of the food is not any better than it tastes).

Great Place for BBQ!

My wife and me eat here all the time. They have great food and they don’t skimp on the servings. You wont find a better meal for the price.

Tastes as good as it smells!

Wonderful food! Their ribs are exceptional! All of their foods are exceptional, except maybe their pies. The chocolate pie is fabulous, though! My only beef is that they charge for cornbread buy don't tell you that up-front. Great, great food and service. It's fast too. I highly recommend it. Oh, I forgot to mention that their fries are the best anywhere!
