Bernadette Nazario, MD, PharmD, is a neurologist specializing in headache medicine. She is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board-certified in headache medicine by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties. Dr. Nazario’s expertise includes evaluating and treating different types of headaches such as migraines, cluster headaches, tension-type headaches, paroxysmal hemicrania, new daily persistent headaches, pseudotumor cerebri, headaches in pregnancy and occipital neuralgia. She also evaluates and treats facial pain, including trigeminal neuralgia. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, and Southern Headache Society. Dr. Nazario initially pursued a career in pharmacy and graduated with honors from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. She next completed two post-graduate pharmacy residency training programs at the San Juan VA Medical Center in Puerto Rico. Following her passion for direct patient care, she then pursued her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, graduating with high honors, and continued there for her neurology residency. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
