Unethical people! Will turn off check engine light so car can be sold, then charge you to fix something that should have been done before the purchase, contacting the BBB.

RUN! RUN FAR RUN FAST! I got a car from the one at Monkey Junction. Well... A week after i got it, it went to knocking. They said, "bring it in we'll take a look at it, but if you blow the engine it's yours!" I can honestly say they offered no help! I put new engine in. They would not discount the car $1. I was told they were going yo knock a payment off. Yeah another lie. They gave me a number to some horrible mechanic that put the engine in that blew. Pfft. These people are scam artist. I heard another guy got a car and after 1 month transmission fail! Please avoid these people. They will smile while you are making deal and laugh as you try driving away.

These people are crooks! I have been here over & over and visited all Lovott's locations only to find they are one of the only dealers in Wilmington that DO NOT try to work with their cash paying customers! When I asked if they would reduce the price of a vehicle down a couple of hundred (to BB Value) I was told, "No Ma'am we only make our money on financing here, our cash price is what we pay!" Ha, what a joke! Guess it worked out for me in the long run because I found a much better deal elsewhere that dropped their cash price by 1500.00 and I actually received a ride worth what I paid! Also found out later from numerous people I discussed the issue with that Lovitts had a bad name & they did people dirty all of the time! When it is tax time, they know people have big checks, so they raise their prices, don't come down, & want everyone to finance and miss payments so they can repo! These people do not care about keeping happy repeat customers, or maintaining their reputation! I gave one star because I had to in order to leave the feedback...

Found a vehicle online that these guys had put up for sale. Called to inform the dealer that I'd be driving from 6 hours away to look at the vehicle and would be able to pay up front for it if I liked it. I asked him very plainly to tell me if the vehicle had any serious damage because I would be driving all that way to look at it and didn't want to waste my time. He insisted the vehicle was fine. However, I arrived and took it to a mechanic to have it inspected. The bumper was attached with plastic zip ties and the frame of the vehicle was still bent from a big accident. Also, the transmission was on its last leg. The mechanic's advice, as well the advice of other locals, was not to never do business with these guys. Also, they're courteous enough to keep their cigarettes in their mouth while they're talking to you.
