We started taking our child for riding lessons. So far so good. People are friendly, willing to teach you, professional and great with kids.

Top Notch Horse Instruction! Michelle is the BEST!

Saddletree is a beautiful facility! We had other barns closer to home for us but none match the level of professionalism, care, safety and friendliness. Michelle Stephenson-Campbell has been my daughters instructor for years and coached her to many blue ribbons. The versatility of her instruction is priceless. Whether in the show ring, learning a new discipline or just learning the basics around the barn, she can teach it all. Great facility!

If you're looking for a drama ...

If you're looking for a drama filled environment ,with poor, horridly dangerous, unsupervised instruction you've come to the right place, Even one star is too high.

As much as i hate to talk down on people, i feel the need to make honest reviews, and fill people in on what they're going to financially invest in for their child or enjoyment.

I guess i should start off with,

1. Poor Instruction: They know nothing of Proper english riding instruction... Maybe Saddleseat. But not English. Children who havent even mastered the basics of flatwork , jump 2'6+ (usually unsupervised) on horses that are consistently lame for obvious reasons. (ive personally seen bad accidents because of negligence)

2. Disorganized:The tack rooms are a complete disaster, and BECAUSE they are too lazy to clean tack, they have resorted in using Wintec saddles.. So watch out if you use anything leather! If it breaks, youll pay for it. that even goes for people under a Lease Agreement.

3. Lying: Not only will you be lied to about your lease, but youll be lied to and about in every possible aspect.

4. Leases: Full lease? Dont worry, youll show up and your horse will be worked and hot for you already! And when your horse goes "mysteriously" lame, youll have to ride another nag and still pay the same price NO REFUND!

5. Drama, Drama, Drama!: Michelle, (being basically a child herself) prides herself on talking about everyone and everything that walks in and out of her property... Its like High school all over again!

4.Board: Beautiful Property, but what for? There are no actual employed workers, so michelle lets loose the 12 year olds to do feeding and turning out. You put your needs on a whiteboard, which arent filled anyways! (Ive personally seen people leave because of this)

5.Lame horses: The horses are consistently lame (there wasnt a week that went by that a horse wasn't lame or had thrush), whether that be because the fields are torn up from constant turnout (even in rain) or because the horses are overworked.. i dont know.

5. Tailbags and Bellboots: Ive never seen someone so obsessed with Tailbags and Bellboots! Dont forget to put the tailbag on, or you will be told because you didn't put it on the horse LOST INCHES OFF ITS TAIL. What crap.

Do yourself a favor, Go to an ACCREDITED equestrian facility such as McNairs Country Acres, Czechmate, Five Star etc; and get proper english instruction for yourself or child! I cannot stress more, how awful this stable is.

I have only had one lesson wit...

I have only had one lesson with Donnie at Saddletree and I thought he did an Amazing job. Donnie has horses that are perfect for 1st time riders and a covered lit arena that makes it easier to accomidate my evening appointments. I am looking forward to continuing lessons with Donnie and seeing my son learn a fun new skill.

We have been riding weekly at Saddletree for over 2 years now. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her riding lesson, as well as her hands on time with the horses.
