It was fun.. only suggestion.. should bathe the horses b4 outing so they won't be so hot.. Also check your staff.. some jobs are not for all.. other than that it was fun.. our guide was awesome .. will come back maybe even share board ..

My family and I have been going to memory lane stables for years and have never had any issues as far as customer service or the horses and ponies. The price is the most reasonable around the cook county area. For 15$ you can hand walk your pony for an hour, with or without a walker accompanying you, the choice is yours to make. Whenever I come out the staff and owners are extremely welcoming, overall a very good atmosphere. There's two petting zoos and many animals to look at and pet for the children. Great place to go to to if your looking for a fun family outting.

My kids and I have been going to Memory Lane Stables for a couple of years. Today 09-28-2014, I called and made an appointment for pony rides for my 2 children with Kathy, the owner. She didn't seem too thrilled about the idea saying, "how come everybody wants pony rides today?!" I replied by saying, " it's a beautiful day and people want to take advantage of the weather."

We arrived at the stables 10 minutes earlier and she didn't seem too thrilled to see us. She said you have to wait aside until I'm ready for you! We waited for over 30 minutes. Once everything was set up and the paperwork was signed, our guide was clueless! She didn't know how long the pony ride was supposed to be! Once we came back the owner was surprised and said your back already! The ride is supposed to last an hour, we were back after 20 mins!!! The ponies were not cooperating, it was feeding time and they kept on giving us a hard time while we were on the trail. The kids got frustrated and wanted to come back so we returned to the stable.

Overall, I complained to Kathy about how clueless our guide was and all she said was sorry, she didn't offer any compensation! I will never go back there again, very unprofessional!
