It's nice to have a place like this near me instead of having to go downtown. I always get more stuff than I had planned to. I love the sharp provolone and their bread is the best.

A local favorite of mine

Sam's has good lunchmeats at good prices. Their imported prosciutto is the best around. There are also rolls, pizza dough, tomato pies and strombolis as well as some of the best homemade pasta in the Philadelphia area. South Philadelphia's Italian Market has become a tourist trap with overpriced items and questionable service. Sam's is a welcome relief. The only thing lacking is an extensive selection of olive oils. Trader Joes fills that void.
