We went in on the 13th of November to have alterations done to a newly purchased red wedding dress, as well as cleaning services. Dress was brought up about 4 inches and brought in about an inch underneath each arm. We were quoted $34 for the work and charged $60 for alterations to a $50 dollar dress to be worn on our wedding day. Alterations were amateur quality at best and far below acceptable for presentation at the wedding on the 15th. It seems they were not able to sew 2 straight parallel lines on the hem of the dress and the underarm alterations looked like a home economics project. Definitely not worth the $60 we paid. Not worth anything in my opinion.

Turn-around for the work was 24 hours but the quality was unacceptable. I clearly informed them that the dress will be used for our wedding day for added quality confidence, but that had no affect on the subpar end result. If they couldn’t do professional work, I would have appreciated a phone call first before gauged for professional prices on amateur work. My wife is still very upset about the chop job done to her wedding dress.

Upon calling them and clearly explaining my complaint, including the fact that my wife was extremely dissatisfied with the dress on her wedding day, I requested a full refund for the work done to the dress. They denied a refund but offered to have me bring the dress in to "fix it". Pointless offer as the wedding day passed and we cannot rewind the clock to hope for a quality result on our wedding day. I said there is no way on earth we would allow them to touch the dress again in any case. Who would let them touch it again after witnessing the first disaster they call “tailoring”? I told them after experiencing their amateur work, I would never return to their store, even for a purposed "fix". Damage was done and their opportunity to professionally remedy the situation passed as well, which is why I am posting this experience. I told them clearly, either they compensate us for this shoddy work or I will ensure the public knows about this experience.

Note about the phone call:

During the phone call, I was passed to a “manager” and this so-called”manager” denied my refund and said someone would call me. The lady who did the work on my dress called me from a private number and left a message. I attempted to call back and have received no response to date. Had they handled this complaint professionally and held themselves accountable for their poor quality of work, they could have avoided the revenue loss that they will surely experience from this negative review. Lesson learned on both ends!

As a cleaning service they seem competent. As a tailor of anything beyond hemming pant leggings, AVOID!!!
