Do not rent they do not repair anything this company left a exposed sewer hole in my first level bathroom so long I had to evacuate my family (wife and four children) then sued them and won a constructive eviction meaning the home was unsafe for occupancy. All public record Please for your families sake do not rent from this company they are dangerous.

Trying to work with Brookstone Property (or Cobblestone Properties-- not sure why they have multiple business names floating around) has turned out to be a nightmare. Their website claims, "Ask any of the employees how we always get the job done and they will all tell you it is because we are team" and my husband and I are finding quite the opposite.

We had a leak in our ceiling that we found in July 2013-- they came to cut a hole in the ceiling and fix the pipe in a fair amount of time, but it is now December and we are still waiting to have the drywallers come and 100% finish the project. In my opinion, it should not take 4+ months to have a ceiling patched up and refinished.

Matthew Hauff, President, has been our point of contact, but he rarely answers our phone calls or returns voicemail messages. Email has been a better way to get in touch with him, but responses may still be scattered/delayed. We have also resorted to sending a letter via certified mail, which costs us money. If there is somebody else within his company that we should contact for different questions/issues, all he would have to do is make us aware-- instead we are left to wait on him.

Also, Mr. Hauff doesn't seem to have much business-sense when he chose to email Purchase Agreement contracts in Word document format versus a PDF, and each page did not have to be initialed. A person could easily change the price of the home listed on the first page of the contract, print that, and submit it with his signature still on the last page.

I could say good things about our house, the floorplan, and construction-- as renters, my issues have been with the management and crowded neighborhood. I would suggest being extremely thorough when reading through any contracts with Brookstone Property, don't expect to get things repaired in a timely manner, and don't expect to have phone calls or emails returned.
