The food here us amazing. It's very hard to find good Mediterranean in columbia. The lentil soup, lamb gyro and Qubeli Palaw are my favorites. Portions are prices are proper for the quality of the food.

Amazing Restaurant

I was incredibly impressed with Ariana's. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, in fact, when I walked in the front door, I thought I would've had to make reservations it looked so swanky! My server, Brenda, was very sweet and prompt with everything I asked and made an effort to make sure everything was perfect. The owner of the restaurant was also very kind and talked to everyone to make sure their experience was enjoyable. I felt at home and welcomed, which I think is one of the most lacking characterisitics in the restaurant business. I felt that they all really cared about the customer's happiness instead of just seeing another face to serve. Most importantly, the food was amazing. I ordered a Horiatiki salad(which comes with very tasty Turkish flatbread), coffee, and Red Velvet Cake. It was all delicious and the price of everything was very cheap for the quality of food that I received. I will be returning soon with lots of friends!

I too do not know what the Bleep Blee is talking about. Ariana's is the best new restaurant in the Columbia area. And the reasonable prices are one of it's selling points. Delicious, imaginative menu and presentation. the chef/owner is forging his own path and not following the pedestrian example of other Greek restaurants with the common offerings. Oh, he has the usual fare too, for Gyro and Souvlaki lovers, but he doesn't stop there for the more adventurous. Delicious!

Not pricey! In response to blee1004's review, which decried high prices -- I wonder if the reviewer mistook this SC restaurant for one which happens to have the same name in San Diego (or could this new W. Columbia SC restaurant have drastically dropped it prices?). I write this because I and two friends ate at Ariana's (SC) last night, and found the prices quite reasonable, with entrees mostly around $10 to $14 and kids items about half that. Perhaps Blee had included appetizers, alcohol, desserts, taxes -- I can't say. Our food was great, presentation was first class, and service fine. The owner brings Greek and Turkish inspired cuisine to the menu, with touches of Indian apparent in a few items -- not just your predictable Greek choices, and a great addition to the Columbia area.

I was told they've only been open a month, and their website doesn't yet post their menu and prices, so I felt a need to add a balancing review to the that of Blee. (I have no connection to this restaurant or employees other than as a first-time visitor.)

Very good food. The chicken tandoori is amazing. It was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and was a good sized portion. We also got this soup, I don't recall the name of it. I believe it was some kind of bean soup topped with yogurt. But it was also very good. The service was great. Our drinks never empty. Moe, the owner came out and talked with us about the food and we just had a pleasant conversation. We never felt rushed unlike other places. We will defiantly be back!

horrible

What the hell?!? Two adult meals with nothing more than meat and rice and a small salad. And a kids chicken kabob for $50.06?!? Are they kidding me? They won't be there long.
