From start to finish, the Pool Boss was amazing to work with. Upon meeting Chris to get a quote, I knew he was just a "good guy". Honest, knowledgeable, and real, he set the tone for an excellent experience. The whole process was a pleasure. It is rare to hire a company where every person you come into contact with is just a dream to work with. Not only is the Pool Boss filled with great employees, but even the subcontractors that they bring on (e.g. electrical and hardscaping) are fantastic. A huge shout-out to Joanna who is the perfect point person - always available to answer a question and help you in any way she can.

We starting the planning stages of the project in the winter and had our pool built during the COVID-19 pandemic. This added a layer of complexity to the job because it meant that materials were short and suppliers were stretched to their limit. Regardless, Pool Boss was always up front with us on what to expect and they did their best to get things done as quickly as they could. I have zero complaints and appreciated their professionalism. Additionally, everyone was careful to wear a mask (if needed) to protect the homeowner and their families.

From this experience, I will always be the first to recommend them when I hear someone wants a pool and if I ever move and need another one built, Chris is the first person I'm calling. Don't hesitate to contact them to make your dream pool happen. You won't regret it.

After finally purchasing our “forever home” and completing all of our interior work, the only project that remained was installing our in-ground pool. We had several pool companies come in for estimates, but after one meeting with Chris A. from The Pool Boss, we knew he was the right man for the job! Chris thoroughly outlined and explained all of the considerations and implications, leaving no detail uncovered. He was patient and responsive as we waivered back and forth on several of the details, offering suggestions and recommendations to help ensure the execution met our intention.

Once settled in on all of the details, the team began work quickly and efficiently. Chris went the extra mile to research with the town a rumored potential issue (car buried in an abandoned in-ground pool in the yard), and when he inevitably found that the rumors were true, he quickly recommended and carried out a plan to address as if it were your standard, run-of-the-mill occurrence.

While many companies will cash that final check upon completion and you will never hear from them again, The Pool Boss has remained in contact ever since completing the project. Any time there has been any kind of issue whatsoever (LED bulb issues, filter problems, liner hole), Terry, Joanna, and the team spring into action and have never left an issue unresolved. They even donated funds and gift baskets to my son’s baseball team to support their Cooperstown trip!! A truly high-class organization and wonderful group of people! Fully recommend!!!

Words cannot describe what a pleasure it has been working with Pool Boss for the creation of our backyard oasis 2 years ago. Chris and his team were outstanding from beginning till the end. Unlike the majority of subcontractors that my wife and I came in contact with while building our home, Chris genuinely cares about his clients and went over and above to make sure everything turned out the way we envisioned. Purchasing a pool isn’t easy. There are a ton of decisions that need to be made about size, depth, shape, stone, color, finishes, grade, landscaping, etc. After going back and forth for a year we decided to have our pool done this summer. We trolled review sites for days and landed on 3 pool contractors. After meeting and talking to all of them, hands down, Chris from The Pool Boss was the most knowledgeable about the latest trends, technology and designs. It was clear to us that he takes great pride in what he does and makes it a point to deliver a superior product.

From start to finish the process was efficient and transparent. We had a ton of questions about our pool and our overall yard design. Not only was Chris patient, communicative and very helpful but he went a step further and put together an actual design that incorporated all of the features we wanted in our yard. He recommended stone manufacturers to complement our more modern design choices and spent time in our yard with us laying everything out. The install crews are all business, they show up, smile, say hello and go right to work. Joanna in the office is also extremely helpful and would reply to emails and phone calls quickly. The Pool Boss is very good at communicating, setting expectations, explaining the process and meeting schedules. And most importantly when they said someone would show up, they did. Chris and team, my hats off to all of you for mastering the process and exceeding expectations.

This year we undertook a number of home improvements and of all the contractors we dealt with The Pool Boss was the most professional and responsive. Like with any project we have come across issues, but The Pool Boss continues to work with me to get them resolved.

1. Our pool cleaning robot, kept getting stuck on our drain covers, so The Pool Boss gave us special drain covers so the robot stopped getting stuck.

2. I have a salt water pool and the chlorine generator (a Hayward Aqua Rite) shows an incorrect reading. The Pool Boss has sent a technician twice to try and fix it and has now put me in direct contact with a Hayward Rep who is trying to resolve the problem. This issue is still ongoing, but The Pool Boss continually calls me and sends me emails ensuring that they stay on top of the issue ... I hope to post a resolution shortly.

This is the first time we have had a salt water pool and The Pool Boss has been patient with all the silly questions that I ask them and helped me through the process. For initial set up, they sent a technician around to teach me how to use the equipment. I did not grasp all the functions the first time around, so they then sent another technician to give me another tutorial free of charge.

In general I think the service they offered was excellent and at no point did I think they were trying to up-sell me or charge me for extras. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to install an in-ground pool.

We called 5 different pool places and Chris was the easiest to work with. His estimate was the most reasonable and he was able to work around our schedule and explain every step in the process of installing a pool from excavating, to building to backfilling etc. He was very helpful with suggestions on pool size, location, and liner. Even after the pool was installed and completed Pool boss sent over Don to give us an "orientation" on how to use and maintain the new equipment. They have made the process very easy and have always been a phone call away for any questions that we may have had. I would definitely recommend using Pool Boss!

The Pool Boss was incredibly helpful from the planning phase of our pool right to the completion of our pool and backyard project. They are easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and get the project done in a timely manner. The Pool Boss continues to be timely and professional even after the pool has been completed. Our pool and backyard project was designed and completed exactly how we wanted it and we've been enjoying it ever since.

Chris and his team were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They always arrived when they said they would and stuck to the timeline agreed upon. They installed our inground pool according to code and performed our weekly maintenance with no problems. Our pool has always looked amazing since day one. They respond to questions and concerns promptly and are pleasant to interact with.

After getting 3 or 4 outrageous quotes, we called The Pool Boss and had Chris come for an estimate. He was very reasonable, understanding and helpful with suggestions of the size, shape and options we could select from. His estimate was realistic and affordable and his time frame accurate so we knew what to expect and when we would have a fully functioning pool. His staff was professional, responsive and always very helpful. The installation is quick, the permitting is not. Chris's team was experienced in that process and works with many local townships. His team always came to our home to manage any needed inspections, we did not have to take time off work and wait for the township. Once the pool was up and running, they were very responsive to any questions we had or service we might need. They helped through closing and I couldn't put a better recommendation out for Chris and his team.

We have smaller backyard but really wanted a pool so we could enjoy the summers with our three young children without having to leave home for a long trip to the beach or a crowded day at the town pool. Chris and his team designed a wonderful pool for our backyard. It’s large enough to get a good swim in but doesn’t take up our entire yard. They did a wonderful job landscaping the area and have provided excellent weekly maintenance service as well. We’re so lucky we found them!

We moved into a new house with a big backyard specifically so that we could build a pool. Without knowing much about the process, we talked to as many people as we could. When we contacted Pool Boss and Chris came to our home, we immediately knew that we wanted to work with him. From the beginning of the process until completion, Chris and his team were professional, responsive and helpful. Even when we had questions about the mechanical aspects of the pool after the job was complete, Pool Boss sent people out to help promptly and free of charge. After deciding we wanted to install a pool in our backyard, I interviewed 4 builders. Chris was the most patient, knowledgable, and assisting. He kept his promises and was very organized.

I am retired now, so I am very careful with spending, but it is priceless seeing the joy on the faces of my grandchildren swimming in the pool that Chris & his team built! Chris transformed our backyard in the house where we lived for the past 25 years into something completely different and I am so happy we decided to invest in this project. We now find ourselves spending much more time outside, whether it's to swim, entertain guests, or just spend some quiet time, poolside.

Chris also surrounds himself with good people. The office workers are very polite and professional. You can communicate with them easily by phone, text, or email. I was in communication with Joanna and Lauren at his office. He has pool designers that will help you a lot to satisfy your preferences. It is really amazing to see, under his supervision, how efficient and hard-working his team is. Don K helped me with orientation, maintenance, and operation. He even gave me a refresher course one weekend because I forgot some of the instructions. I am also very happy with the recommendations he gave me for our fence, electrical, and paving work.
