The facility allows residents to dispose of unusable wood, scrap metal, office paper, magazines, plastic items, computers, cardboards, paperboards, tires, appliances, automobile batteries, glass bottles and jars, and motor oil and filters. The Public Works and Utilities Department provides engineering, recycling, flood protection, garbage collection, and streets and sewer maintenance services. The department also organizes science workshops and coordinates various environmental programs.
