Diedrich Coffee specializes in sourcing, roasting and selling coffees. Founded in 1972, it sells brewed, espresso-based and various blended beverages made from its fresh-roasted coffee beans, as well as light food items and accessories. Its primary brands include Diedrich Coffee, catering to coffeehouses in California, Colorado and Texas, Gloria Jean's Coffees, a line of gourmet specialty flavored coffees introduced in 1979, and Coffee People, developed in 1983, for coffeehouses in Oregon. The company has more than 200 retail outlets, both company owned and operated and franchised operations, throughout over 35 states. It also sell its coffees to more than 500 wholesale accounts, including restaurants, specialty retailers, food service operators and office coffee service distributors, as well as through mail-order and the Internet.
