Illinois is the only state that has Supportive Living Apartment communities for those ages 65+. We are different than "Assisted Living" which is private pay only so when funds run out, the senior has to move. Supportive Living accepts Medicaid, so seniors who don't earn enough to pay privately can still remain in an apartment setting with assistance. Supported Living communities provide housekeeping, laundry, minor nursing services, activities, and three meals a day. Washington Supported Living is one of only four "SLFs" in the tri-county area. There are only 143 Supported Living Communities in Illinois. This one is top notch, located in the heart of the wonderful community of Washington with very nice amenities.
