In 2005, the owners of DC Coast, TenPenh and Ceiba opened Acadiana, which is one of the few restaurants in Washington that serves Louisiana cuisine. Its menu includes smoked chicken, roasted sweet corn and blue crab soup, turtle soup, beet salad, fried green tomatoes and charbroiled oysters. Acadiana s other entr es include lump crab cakes, roast beef, blackened tilapia and grilled-chicken breast salad. The restaurant s menu also features several side dishes that include buttermilk-mashed potatoes, collard greens and Creole-creamed spinach. It offers banquet rooms for various special events, including business meetings, wedding rehearsals and company gatherings. Located in Washington, D.C., Acadiana also stocks a selection of champagnes and red and white wines, as well as features a variety of specialty cocktails.
