Vantage Group, established in 1984, is a private, nonprofit organization that provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities in community-based residential programs and employment and day support services. Individuals served by the Vantage residential program live in a variety of situations such as living alone, living in homes of four to six people, with their families or in apartments shared by one or two roommates. Staffing and other supports vary and reflect the needs of individuals. Vantage Group helps individuals access the community and live as independently as possible. The organization serves nearly 50 individuals who reside in the communities of North Haven, Hamden, New Haven, West Haven, and Orange, Conn.
