Went in for an oil change and they asked if i had heard squeaking while i was driving. Never heard any squeaking. They said it should be horribly loud considering how bad my wheel bearing is. She made a huge deal about it and said it was in terrible condition and it needed to be changed right away because its a major safety risk. Without handing my credit card back to me she said the bearing and work would come to around 258, can i just put that on the same account? I said "no!?" And she continued to badger me about it the entire time. Afterwards i took it to my mechanic, he said theres absolutley nothing wrong with any of my bearings. Awful place.

Do not stop here for repairs. Over 100% markup on parts. Price gouging.



I was on my way back to Fargo after a weekend in St. Cloud when my alternator went out. Lucky for me, or so I thought, my car died half a block from Royal Tire. Russ, the store manager, told me that a local shop could rebuild my alternator for what he estimated to be $200. When I got the bill, sure enough it was exactly $200. I thought it seemed somewhat strange that it came out to be exactly what he thought it would be so I called up the shop that did the rebuild and they told me the final cost was $98.



I understand that they need to mark it up slightly for freight and the hassle of sending it over, etc. but Royal Tire marked up the repaired part by over 100%. When I confronted Russ about it, he said that it was policy for them to mark it up 2.5 times and that he only marked it up by 2. Apparently I got a bargain!

I went there for an oil change. I had an appointment. Upon checking in I was asked if they could also replace my air filter. This seemed odd. Why wouldn't they check it first and then ask me if it was dirty?? I said NO. The person at the counter told me that it would take 45 minutes. That seemed a bit long so I went for a walk. As I walked back to pick up my car 45 minutes later I could see my car in the shop and all 4 of my tires were on the ground and it looked like the mechanic was messing with my brakes. I asked the person at the counter about this and was informed that its "company policy" that all 4 tires get removed so they can do a full inspection on the vehicle. I never asked them to mess with any of that stuff. I JUST WANTED AN OIL CHANGE! After an hour went by I was approached with a laundry list of services that they recommended. They gave me a quote for over $500.00 and there is nothing wrong with my car. It has 63,000 miles and is in perfect condition! If you want to wait for an 1.5 hour long oil change and want to have a bunch of smoke blown up your but, this place is perfect!

hello, my name is al . yesterday i stoped at yr shop with a flat trailer tire and a stripped stud. yr shop cked it out then swapped my spare on to the rim with the bad stud. and sent me on my way. NO CHARGE!!!!!! i,d just like to say how much i appeciated the help. in this day and age its hard to find someone, who is just willing to help. i just want to say thanks again. al
