Pittsburgh Spay and Vaccination Clinic has evolved and expanded from a spay, neuter, and vaccination center located in the East End of the City during the 1980's to a state of the art, full service suburban veterinary facility offering diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental care to dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and pocket pets. Our five staff veterinarians are supported by seven licensed veterinary technicians, four graduate veterinary assistants, and receptionists. We are open six days a week and have evening office hours four week nights. Pets with critical medical illnesses can be diagnosed via our in-house laboratory and Direct Digital Xray suite.  More extensive testing is sent to a referral laboratory which provides results typically the next day. Ultrasound, Echocardiogram, and Endoscopy services are provided by outside Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialists who come to our practice.  Cancer medicine, surgery, and chemotherapy are provided by Dr. Wiles, a member of the Veterinary Cancer Society, or are referred to local veterinary oncologists. Acupuncture services are provided by our acupuncture certified veterinarians. Extensive soft tissue surgeries, cancer surgeries, minor orthopedic procedures, and the routine spays and neuters are performed in our up to date surgical suite where all patients are monitored with ECG, pulse ox, blood pressure, and temperature monitors.  We also maintain an Intensive Care Unit for critically ill pets. Our doctors and staff are here to provide state of the art compassionate care for pets and extensive client communication, education, and client services to their owners.

The immediately made a same day appointment for 19 year old cat and Dr. Santos quickly and compassionately told me Missy Sue was probably in irreversible kidney failure. She sent me home with medications and promise to call first thing in the morning, though it was her day off. Dr. Santos called as promised by 8:15 am and diverted the bad news personally and then alerted the staff to expect my call to schedule Missy's final visit. The staff took my call and and had me in within90 minutes to relieve Missy's suffering. The lady that handled the procedure was kind, compassionate and shared kind words with both Missy and me while we both shed a tearful goodbye. Not the first time or first pet that has received exceptional care here. Dr. Wile is the greatest and he selects and trains his staff and fellow vets to bring out and give their best.

Horrible experience! I went in on emergency with a sick cat and left $300 lighter and no cat! The doctor was very cold and wanted me to hospitalize the cat and do blood work and multiple tests. These people have dollar signs where their pupils should be! Very shameful! $_$
