Im a proud graduate of the January 2012 class and I Highly recommend this course to any one who wants a good, fast, hands on, education. 2 weeks after I graduated I took a small vacation =) but I found a job in Santa Clarita, after one day of putting resumes out. I went to 5 places, 20 mins later I got a call. The instructors were great and if you didnt understand something they would help you to understand it. I never felt rushed, or pushed aside by them. Of course the instructors can only help you so much, where you really need to get hands on is while your externing. This is Important!! This is where you will learn everything!!! So major Thank You to everyone who helped out during my time there. It was an awsome and fun experience I ll never forget

I am not writing this review not to bash Santa Clarita School of Dental Assisting, just trying to make others inquiring about maybe going to this school to rethink their option. The dental office the school is operated by is fantastic and I would recommend any day, however the school needs improvement. They have a great idea of a school with a low cost but they do not teach you the hands on material you need to enter the work field as a dental assistant and the instructors get frustrated very easily and just take over the task enabling their students to learn. I felt as I wasted my money and now I know ten weeks of school sounds to good to be true and there are hardly any jobs available in Santa Clarita Valley and Antelope Valley. Save your money and maybe intern at dental office you will learn more than spending $4,500.00.

This school has made such a positive impact in my life. Most school are 9 months and over $1500, where as this school is a quick 10 weeks and costs less than half of what other schools charge. They even offer a care credit payment plan if you can't pay up front. Not only did I get my dental assisting certificate, but also my x ray license, CPR certification, scrubs, and my own custom bleaching trays that we got to make in class.

While most students are stuck in monotonous classrooms, this school is taught right inside of a dental office, where you do all of the lab assignments. They also allow you to do intern hours at their office where some of the teachers work. They were so helpful in answering my questions, letting me practice on the mannequins, and letting me jump right into the assistant's chair! They even let me come back to the office a few times after I graduated to help me practice taking x rays.

There are so many career opportunities in the dental field and this is a great place to get started!

I am about to finish my ten week course with the Santa Clarita School of Dental Assisting. I feel well equipped to apply for dental assisting jobs thanks to this comprehensive course! The curriculum is rich with hands-on lab modules that bring the application of the procedures to light in a real dental office-setting. In addition, the course internship further fine tunes your newly acquired skills. The instructors are patient and well versed based on years of experience. Overall, this course is thoroughly enjoyable and a must!

I recently received my Dental Assisting Certification from SCSDA, and could not be happier! In only a few months I had my CDA, Radiology license, and began a great new career. Right now I earn a little more than twice what I made before I entered the program.



The girls that teach the classes are super friendly, and create a very learning conducive environment. By the end of the program, I felt really confident in my skills! It was such an enjoyable experience, I miss being in part of the program honestly.



Most of the girls in the class were offered jobs from the practices at which they did their interning hours!



You get hands-on experience during your interning, which is a major plus once you are looking for a position. The program is also really flexible to a full-time working schedule, which was really nice! This program was very affordable and didn’t take nearly as long to finish as most other career programs/schools.



It's been the smartest investment I've ever made in my career. Before I found this school, I had no idea the dentistry could be so fun and so lucrative! I definitely recommend this program! :)

I graduated from SCSDA Dec2010 and am currently working in a dental office right after graduation thanks to this amazing school!! All of the instructors and teachers are amazing and make this school a fun and exciting environment to learn in. You receive hands on training with real patients not just mannequins. I was able to assist with the Dr's and work while i learn! I had so much fun at this school i honestly did not want to leave because once u enter the doors u feel like family. The Dr's and staff welcome u very warm hear ted!! I would and have recommended SCSDA. to many friends and people interested.

SCSDA is a cool school. I became a dental assistant in 10wks. When class was finished I didnt even want to leave, I wanted to keep on coming to class..that is how fun the instructors and staff make it. The way they teach makes dentistry so simple! I do not regret signing up at all because this gave me a career I had always wanted.This school is great for any person!

I went to this school in 2006. I honestly dont know what I would have been doing if I had not enrolled. This school has opened my eyes to a career path I never thought I would have gone on. The instructors were so kind and very informative. They actually took the time with every student and helped them to achieve success. I was hired shortly after I finished the 10 wk course and have been a registered dental assistant for a long time now. This course also helped open my eyes to futher my education and I am now applying to become a dental hygienist! I love this school and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Santa Clarita School of Dental Assisting is one of a kind. The second I sat down to start my class I was instantly satisfied. The classroom is neat, the instructors are thorough, and the material is up to date explaining everything perfectly. I am male, and was worried that dental assisting was more for women. I was wrong! I am so glad I chose this career! I was hired right away with the experience I obtained from SCSDA. I would recommend this course to everyone! You won't regret it!

I attended this school, and I have nothing but great things to say about SCSDA. I learned so much in just 10 weeks. I am so happy I chose SCSDA because I wanted to change my life, and I wanted to do it fast. SCSDA has the best teachers, the best state of the art equipment to work with, and their staff is so friendly and welcoming. I had the best 10 weeks, and got a job right away! I can only thank SCSDA for helping me achieve my goal in becoming a dental assistant. Without them I would be working a minimum wage job somewhere. They gave me the tools I needed to succeed.

I attended Santa Clarita School of Dental Assisting and it was informative while at the same time offered classes in a relaxed atmosphere. I stress over tests and grades but this school was fun and the teachers were honest and easy to learn from. Judy was especially nice and easy to get along with. She offered us a wealth of information and made it easy to follow the course.

We trained in a clean, state of the art office. It was a pleasure to be there.

I recently graduated from this school and it has opened so many opputunities for me. The teachers were great and really focused on giving me the best training possible. It was an intense program where I had to study a lot on my own and push myself to do a lot of intern hours to better myself. I recommend this school to anyone who is pursuing this field.

The school is covenient and gave me the knowledge I needed to start my career in dental assisting. I enjoyed the labs in that they were very hands on and also involved learning as teams and learning while each person goes through the lab. I would say the best part was the hands on training. They teach very well in the school but as they tell us over and over there is nothing like hands on training so the more you can get the interning experience the better. I attended the 10 week school and I am now working for a dentist. And they were correct in saying that each dentist has there way of working but I am glad I had the basics down and he likes the fact that I am new because he can mold me more. I think the school is well worth the money and time.

As a dentist in the Santa Clarita Valley for 25 years, I have seen a trend where fewer young people are pursuing a career in dental assisting. This has become a concern to the dental profession.



Having a local Dental Assisting School in Santa Clarita is a great benefit to the dental community and the community in general.



I have personally sent 2 employees to the Santa Clarita School of Dental Assisting, and I have been happy with the program. One of these employees took and passed the RDA exam and is currently working in my office as a RDA. (The other employee moved out of state before taking the RDA exam.)



The convenient school schedule with classes on Saturdays allows students to work while they are going to school. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to pursue a career in dental assisting.

The Santa Clarita School of Dental Assisting was a GREAT experience for me. I'm in the Orthodontic field and had never done anything relating to general dentistry. I enrolled in the Santa Clarita School of Dental Assisting ready to learn what i needed to so i could go for my RDA. I did the 10 week class and learned a lot. The school was very hands on and willing to answer any questions i had to help me pass my test. The office is very clean and i never saw anything that didnt comply with OSHA. Lab coats, face mask, utility gloves, eyewear etc... was always requires for everyone to wear. i got through my intern hours easy with everyone in the office being really helpful in explaining what they were doing and why. To say the least the school was GREAT and i would recommend anyone to go there.
