I was very pleased to not only find an affordable vet, (for a stray cat who adopted me), he came to my house. He gave me a price quote on the phone which surprised me. He arrived on time, I didn't know I needed to provide the exam table, so we used the ironing board open in the front room. I gave him a physical exam,informing me he was a neutered male, gave shots and eye medicine he had with him, since that was one of my concerns. The total fee for service and shots and meds. was $60., exactly what he quoted me on the phone! I've never left the vet without laying out $200 no matter what the visit was for, and sometimes more. I will call him again if I need a vet. I have osteoporosis and couldn't lug this very heavy cat into a vets office. There were no negatives and an all around good experience.
