This funeral home hosted a funeral for a transgendered female (she had LEGALLY changed her gender), allowing the family to pose her as a male. They now have a posting of her pictured and described ONLY as a male. They are TOTALLY LACKING IN COMPASSION AND RESPECT FOR THE DEAD. They defend their actions by hiding behind the "Christian" God, as if this is the way Christ would behave. SHAMEFUL!

They are disrespectful and lack compassion, NOT qualities one wants from a funeral home.

I had the funeral service of my sister-in-law at Parke's and was very pleased with the service from the staff and most importantly the service for my sister-in-law. The staff went way above and beyond to make sure that it all went as planned. They took our hand from beginning to end and have followed up after the service as well. Being a family owned funeral home is the best way to go and I really feel like they took us in as part of their own family. I would have them do the service of any and all of my family! I trust them to take care of any of us as their own family. The follow up after the service sets them far above any other services that I have used locally. Way to go! My thanks to them and their staff at the time we needed it most.

The funeral home staff handled all our needs at one of the most difficlut times in our life. They were there after our service to help us file for our mother to get social security benefits. The prices were lower than that quoted by other funeral homes in town. I would definately recommend them to anyone.
