Mountain View Tire founder and President Nick Mitsos opened his first Goodyear retail tire center in Duarte, California in 1987. The store's location provided a magnificent view of the snow-covered San Gabriel Mountains, so Nick decided to name his business Mountain View Tire and Service.

Today, two of Nick's sons - Chris and Mike - serve as the company's vice presidents, and his youngest son, Paul, is a district manager. With a sister, a sister-in-law, and a brother-in-law also working alongside Nick, Mountain View Tire can truly be called a family-owned and operated business, meaning the family name and reputation are on the line every day. A friend of mine took her car in to get an oil change. Her phone was almost dead so she gave them my phone number. We went to lunch and received a call from "Denise", saying the alarm won't turn off. He speaks with a very rude tone and I pass the phone to my friend. She tells him to use the remote to unlock the car and the alarm plays for about a minute and wont stop until it plays through. A little bit later the same guy calls and tells me that I need to get the car because the door won't unlock, and if I want my car worked on I need to go down there and unlock it (all in an aggressive tone) and hangs up on me without giving me a chance to say a word. I call back and ask to speak with the manager to file a complaint, he tells me he is in charge and asks if this regards my friends car. He continues to speak down to me and I ask him why he is yelling at me. His voice changes and says "these calls are recorded", I tell him that I know they are. He quickly goes back to talking about the car in his aggressive tone and interrupts me. I let him finish, repeat what he said back to him to confirm what he said, and asked if I can speak without interruption. He gets mad and tells me if I have a problem to come down there and hangs up. With the tone he gave, it sounded more like he wanted to fight instead of taking care of the car. Strange behavior, especially towards someone who isn't even getting their car worked on.

Tires are the last thing that I LIKE buying for my car and boy, are they expensive but when I shopped around I found that Mountain View Tire was honest and helped me find the tires that fit into my budget. I won't go anyplace else!
