BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. they say you charge your security deposit citing damage that was never done! They harass you to move out before the end of your last month even though you paid a full months rent. My realtor wore flip flops that should have been a sign from the beginning.

DOWNTOWN ROCKPOINT APARTMENTS--DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is an invasion of your privacy. the walls are so thin it is impossible to describe without hearing it for yourself. I can hear the person above me snoring at night and the sound of a phone getting a text message in the room next to me. you can understand what the neighbor is watching on tv because you can hear it through the wall so clearly. they try and trick you with nice bathrooms and nice new appliances but do not be fooled, they made some major budget cuts on the things that matter most. Also on top of that if you contact them about anything they are extremely rude and unhelpful. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FIND ANOTHER APARTMENT. They are the absolute worst. The apartment we were shown was NOTHING like what we were given. The floors were so thin and cheap that I could hear my upstairs neighbor's phone vibrating on her nightstand. Then once you move out and hope for the beautiful refund check, they find every single way possible to deduct money from it. Management is rude and so, so slow. They are the worst type of scamming scumbags.

THE WORST PEOPLE EVER!!! Avoid living here at all costs! They scam the hell out of you and make you pay for things that they should be paying for. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Random people will barge in with no prior notice. Don't give you your security deposit back and make up excuses for what they used it for.

These people are among the worst people on Earth for renting living space. Never ever rent from them, they will dishonor everything they promised and will take more from you than is listed in the lease. These are the slimiest scum of the universe for living space. You'd be better off with a commute from Birmingham than a rental space from these slimeballs. You have been warned to stay away from these liars and cheaters, do not do business with them, they will take more money than you ever bargained for and you will be stuck in a terrible space with little to no maintenance and no-warning awkward walk-ins from all sorts of strange people. This is your final warning, turn back now, and find someone else that will honor your living decisions.

Lived in the new 513 Rockpoint complex this past school year. The previous reviews are completely accurate. Our apartment was nothing like what they promised. The floor plan was modified, and two bedrooms are barely large enough to fit a full bed.... no chance at fitting a desk and dressers. The kitchen and living area is extremely small and the "patio" is a joke. The courtyard is more like a concrete prison and the parking garage leaks when it rains leaving sediment on your car that you have to scrape off. There have been multiple maintenance issues like leaky ceilings and no hot water. When the maintenance people come out to fix them they leave our unit trashed. Management is extremely rude and hard to work with. I will never rent with this company again.

Very disappointing. Upon moving in, my roommate and I found a few necessary repairs that needed to be fixed (dish washing machine out of order, food disposal out of order, unable to hook up our washer/dryer). It took 4 weeks of pestering and eventually the intervention of our parents to finally get these repairs done. In addition, they will raise the rent every time you sign a new lease and sneak a few sneaky clauses in there. The last lease I was given stated that they have the right to relocate us without any guarantee that our relocation spot would be the same value or the same bedroom type as the agreed upon unit. They also expect you to renew your lease incredibly early and pressure you to sign it quickly. I am still waiting out my lease but a few of my friends who have moved took incredible care of their unit and still did not receive their security deposit back. One friend was even forced out of her apartment in late summer because Rock Point claimed she did not renew her lease (even though she did) and another tenant was expecting to move in. Management like this might be the only option if you want to live within walking distance to campus but I personally find it insulting and unacceptable.

One word... TERRIBLE. Avoid this rental company at all costs. From the time of move in all the way to move out Rock Point Rental has never failed to disappoint. Very rude management. Frequently have "maintenance calls" in which they will freely let themselves into the apartment with no warnings. These frequent encounters are very awkward for two girls living together with creepy male maintenance men. Before moving in we were promised the carpets would be cleaned, the walls would be painted, and eventually tile would be laid in the lower level. Lived there a solid year and never saw any cleaning, painting, or tile. Ancient and dirty carpet throughout the apartment complex. So dirty you can't walk across it more than an hour without having solid black feet. The appliances are old and outdated and frequently leak. Can't get a maintenance man to fix them because they are too busy wasting HOURS sitting outside the complex in their trucks. Such a bad experience that I had to create this account to warn off potential clients from this horrendous joke of a rental company.
