This place is not honest. I went in for a part that should have only cost $19.00. checked the price online and everything. The guy charged me for the wrong part and he asked for a core. I did the repair and realized that I was overcharged. I called them first thing and spoke to the manager, I told him they overcharged me and asked for an "in store credit" price adjustment (not a return) cause I was bringing the core back. The manager confirm what the correct price should have been too. He told me, after I told him it's in the transmission already, he told me I'd have to bring back the one I bought for a price adjustment. Poor practice and poor service, for a simple price adjustment off their mistake. Again, I wasn't asking for a return, just wanted the price adjusted, either way they get my money. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, first time and last time there.

I am rating this businesses towing service. I had called to make an appointment for a junk car of mine to be pulled out of a driveway. The appointment time given was 8am-noon. Pretty big appointment window but I understand that the large window of time allows them to reach their destination on time. However 4 hours of the morning of my day off are wasted now since 8-12 means we'll get to you when we can. I at least expected a call to assure me I was not forgotten. I dont know if it is genes towing or whoever, but somebodys service sucks.

I have to say these guys have a lot to choose from. If you're looking for warranties, guarantees, new parts, etc. then go to a high dollar auto parts store otherwise you can get great USED stuff here,. Take your tools with you when you go, borrow their wheelbarrow to haul your parts back to the store once you get them off of your hulk if you're getting a bunch, be prepared to do your own work (like I've always done since I was a kid, cannibalizing parts from Bob's Auto Wrecking, Pete's Auto, "Junkyard John's

and yeah... "Pick a part"... Airport Auto). Nothing's changed. You do your own work, get dirty, use your own tools, find your own parts on the vehicle you want to cannibalize and expect you're getting a used part. These guys have always been up front with things and have always been matter of fact business about what's being sold. It's used, "as is". No "pre-sales", no "holds"... If you have questions, ask. They're not always the answers you'll want but at least they're honest and yeah... they can be helpful. Just be patient and don't expect to be catered to hand and foot.

A couple of these reviews seem like they're coming from folks who haven't ventured too far away from CRAP, O'Reilly's or one of those other new and shiny stores.

It isn't a store, it's an auto wrecking yard. Expect to get dirty but expect to find your part if you do your homework first.

Sheesh. Personally, I've recommended these guys to a lot of folks over the years... even took my visiting bro-in law from Michigan there three weeks ago to get parts for his 1989 Mercedes 300E. He was elated. He bought a hood and drove "bubba style" back to Michigan with the hood strapped to his Oldsmobile's roof... another story, another day. Great fun though!

Just thought I'd weigh in on my experiences regarding these guys, for what it's worth. They've been there for me over the many years I've been tinkering on cars.

When I called I was put on hold right away and that is where I stayed. I hung up and called a couple hours later and the same thing. Why even answer the phone?

It's a wrecking yard. That happens to part out busted vehicles. There is no obligation for warranties, so obviously most things are AS-IS. Check out the parts you want before forking over your money. You can save _alot_ of money versus new parts, but they are _used_. If you know what you're doing, and what to look for, you might have a little fun. Call ahead. This should all be common sense. I've used them several times without complaint.

What a rip-off

They sold me a bad engine, and won't warrant it. I first bought an engine that was supposed to only have 30k miles on it. Well it ended up having water in the oil. They let me exchange that one, but all of their other engines had over 100k on them. After I get talked into taking a high millage engine, I install it only to find that their is no compression. Now they won't let me exchange the engine because it's been over 30 days since I bought the first engine.
