I love this store because of the condensed size and the knowledge the people have. The big box stores are too overwhelming and never have anyone around that can help. Also, to Gary, you probably creating a hazard by using the bolt cutters yourself. What would happen to that small business ower when you cut yourself or cut off your finger? That would create a insurance nightmare and would inflate the pricing to pay on products for the increased insurance premiums.

I have always tried to support local businesses but while in theTroy, IL store today some old HAG ( I found out it was the owner) talked to me like I was a stray dog (because used a large bolt cutter off the shelf to cut a bolt). The staff was busy and i thought I was helping out by taking care of my needs myself, if that was a mistake shame on me,I was treated like i tried to steal the cash register. I promise it will never happen again I know this because I will never go back in that store, from now on I will drive another 3-4 miles to Lowes or Home Depot. the prices are way lower and I will save enough to make it worth the extra drive

The most helpful and friendly hardware store around.
