The original Cafe Gourmet opened in January of 2002 as a 6-seat sandwich shop and coffee house in Towson, MD. It was so popular that owners David and Lisa Redmond quickly opened their second in Towson and followed with a third in Philadelphia, PA. The fourth location opened in April of 2005 in Hunt Hunt ValleyMD, the fifth in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore, and shortly thereafter in the Central Business District of Baltimore. Our most recent location is soon opening at the University of Maryland BioPark in West Baltimore. What has made our cafes and concept so successful? Our customers tell us it's because we put them first and make our decisions based on what's in their best interest. That's why our staff is trained to give great service and a genuine smile every visit. That's why we order fresh produce and breads daily. And it's why our meats and cheeses are the best we can buy and arrive fresh, never frozen. And that's why we bake our own desserts, including our world famous chocolate brownies! Our customers love their experiences with us. We've been able to create a large and loyal following, and we work hard every day to continue to earn the trust, business and friendship we've been given.
