Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation was founded in 1927. In 1935, Rock-Ola vaulted into jukebox manufacturing. Founded by David C. Rockola, the company has left an indelible mark on an industry that echoes his name. In 1992, Antique Apparatus Company and Rock-Ola merged to create one of the leading commercial and nostalgic jukeboxes on the market. Rock-Ola Manufacturing Company also makes retro speakers, designed to evoke memories from the 1950s. These bubbler speakers are die cast metal trimmed and have a 32-inch diameter. The company also makes wallets, which are like diner-style countertops that play music. Each is a chrome die-cast metal enclosure with lit plastic pilasters and lit selection buttons. A wallet holds 100 title cards and connects to any Rock-Ola SyberSonic CD Jukebox. Other features include coin activated operation and automatic pricing. Rock-Ola Manufacturing Company is headquartered in Torrance, Calif.
