Rick is my hero and God will bless this man. I purchased a vehicle five months ago at Briggs. I took it to Laird Noller for an oil change because it's a Lincoln. After I picked it back up it started leaking oil. I called Laird back and they had me bring it in and told me I needed an oil pump AND they told me I needed a whole new transmission. I called the dealer I purchased it from five months prior. They took it to Rick. Turns out Laird Noller lied. I didn't need a transmission, I had a mis-fire. Rick could have easily lied and charged me five thousand for a new transmission, but he didn't. Instead, he called me up, let me know that he knew the Noller technician that diagnosed by vehicle and that it DID NOT need a transmission. This man had five thousand to gain and did not take advantage. People like this just don't exist anymore. I will sing his praises to everyone I meet. Thank you Rick for being the kind of person we should all strive to be.

I needed to take my car in to have the transmission looked at but had no idea who to take it to. Finding Smith Brothers turned our bad day into a great day. They were so nice and welcoming, we wish we could use them on all of our mechanic needs. By far, the best place in Topeka. I love that it's a local business, I will support them and refer everyone I know to them. I can't say enough good things about these guys, they totally took care of my concerns and explained everything in detail. I will forever be grateful to them and as weird as it may sound, I am looking forward to my next interaction with them because they were so genuine and caring.

I had my transmission rebuilt at Smith Brothers Transmission. This was rebuilt in the last 2 years. The transmission has 24,000 miles on it since the rebuild. The transmission is now slipping and they won't stand behind their work. I had it in for repairs after it was rebuilt in the first year and it never has worked correctly. It always needed to warm up in the morning and would slip on hills. Like the reviews people wrote on yelp and other sites I'm not satisfied with the work they did at all. Come to find out unlike the other transmission shop they have a 1 year warranty whereas the other shop offers a 3 year warranty! Says a lot about their workmanship! I'm very disappointed. Don't put yourself through this!

Wow! After being taken by a transmission shop who did the power braking trick in Arizona (cost $900), what a relief to find a very honest and excellent transmission shop. I thought I had a serious and costly problem which was resolved very inexpensively.

I thought I was in a world of trouble with my transmission. I was told to go see "Rick" at Smith Brothers Transmission. He took such good care of me and my vehicle. And you couldn't beat what he charged me! He had every opportunity to take advantage of my ignorance but Smith Brothers Transmission is more than fair and extremely honest. I'd recommend them to everyone and anyone. Thank you so much Rick!! Joyce DeLaTorre

My family has been going to Sm...

My family has been going to Smith Brothers for years for all of our transmission needs, from having my 2005 maxima transmission rebuilt 2 years ago to having our fluid and filter changed yearly. My brother in law for some reason ignored my advice and took his car to another transmission shop to have his cluch put in his kia. When they got their car back they foud the other shop had bent the struts and come to find out had put a cheap aftermarket clutch in it. I went with him and we tried to get the other place to repair what they had damaged, but they said it was not their fault and they had not even touched the struts. Well we took the car then to smith brothers, and come to find out the other shop was lieing and Rick at Smith brothers showed us that there was no way they were able to do the work they said they did without messing with the suspension. Rick and the guys helped us get the car back on the road and come to find out, they would have been almost 200 dollars cheaper on the repair, and they would have used an actual OEM Luke clutch that comes factory with the car. Lesson learned for my brother in law. The guys at smith brothers are honest, and have been rebuilding transmissions for like 30 years so they know what they are doing. When I had my maxima transmission rebuilt they were also 1500 dollars cheaper than any other shop around
