I went to Eye Mart in Terre Haute, Indiana. I went in knowing I had cataracts and that they didn't seem too bad. Unfortunately the optometrist that worked with me was getting kick backs from the firm he attempted to send me to. It was almost a joke the way he flew into getting me an appointment to get my cataracts removed. That being so obvious I chose to go to an eye surgeon and get a second. After an extensive eye exam I was told my cataracts were so insignificant that insurance would not even pay for it. So much for Eye Mart!

We have been going here for several years and until today have always had great experiences. The girls up front are wonderful. Unfortunately they lost their main optometrist. Their new one is horrible. He was very rude and condescending to our son. We went in for his first fitting of contacts and due to the doctor we ended up leaveing with only a very disappointed child. When I called in to make the appointment I explained that our son was almost 10 and he would like to try contact. I was told that it would be no problem and the appointment was scheduled. When we arrived the new optometrist refused the appointment and proceed to be very condescending to our son. It is very disappointing to see a business suffer from one individual, but unfortunately he is the one individual you must deal with to get your prescription . We are sad to take our business elsewhere, but until they can find an optometrist that has the proper demeanor with children, we won't be back.
