I wasted so much money taking lessons from overpriced Fred A. I discovered Paragon Dance Center in 2008, where I have been happily dancing since. They are an independent dance studio, so all the instructors set there own prices. No more contracts to sign for packages costing >$2,500/package. They have a wide variety of instructors that will fit your needs. They also offer group classes for $7 for the lesson, and then a social dance that follows. Most of the social dances have over 100 people in attendance. They have a huge free floating dance floor allowing you to dance for hours. Paragon also allows students to practice at various hours for only $10/hour. This is a great place!!!!

The first time I walked into Paragon Dance Center to take a group dance lesson, I was terrified. I didn't know anybody, I didn't have much dance experience, and no partner to dance with. I was warmly welcomed by the instructor, Robert Campos, got through the lesson, which was followed by a social dance. Again, I didn't know anybody, but most of the men asked me to dance, even though I was just a beginner. They all made me feel welcome. Two years later, I go to a group class 2-3 nights a week. It is a blast!! I have met so many wonderful people, enjoy my dancing, and I get a great work out (without even trying). The group classes are reasonably priced at only $7 - $12 per class, which includes social dancing after. You can't beat the value for a night of entertainment, social gathering, exercise, and dance lesson. I'm glad I had the guts to walk in the door that first night.
