Recently we had a Split-Type Air Conditioner installed in our family room and could not be happier. The technicians who did the install were very courteous and friendly. From the first step into our home they took ever precaution to not leave a mess and took all the time we needed after the installation to explain how the unit works. We previously had a wall unit installed and were never satisfied with the cooling and the noise level was terrible. The Mitsubishi Split-type unit that Carl Garrett & Son Inc installed is exactly what we were looking for.

Had a furnace inspection done because we were selling our house. Inspector tells us we had cracks in our heat exchange, which means it needs replaced. We were unsure how we were going to handle the situation since we didn't have the cash on hand (we poured everything into the house already to sell), and thought we would let the buyer of the house deal with it. The "boss" was too "busy" to give us a quote AT ALL, which didn't leave a good impression. We ended up getting some financing and going with another company from Arnold, who turned out to be AWESOME. However, when they came to install, the OWNER of that business was the one installing, and he pointed out that there WERE NO CRACKS in the heat exchange and said that is a common among heating businesses when they are looking at older units trying to drum up business. I am SEVERELY upset, and Carl Garrett just cost us thousands in replacing units that we aren't even going to use. I will gladly tell others to be careful and get multiple opinions before agreeing to anything with them!

The coldest week in the past 15 years and our furnace is out of heat. Who to call, not having any reference's from friends or neighbors we found the sticker on our furnace. Carl Garrett & Son. The voice on the phone said one moment and a friendly voice who's name was Mike took over. Mike sent out two wonderful techs. to find the problem. Maybe two fold we found out but for sure the heat exchanger had a crack in it. Not having one in stock and none in the Pgh. area Mike called the Manufacture down south. They trucked one in and we were back in business . Their tec. Ron installed it upon its arriving and with his knowledge found another problem that was fixed within an hour. We can't express our gratitude enough to the Garrett Plumbing And Heating Business. You Guys do business right.
