Was in sales "office" and over heard the owner and manager Liz using racial terms about another employee. Then came to the lobby and was talking to a customer almost bragging about what they had just did.

A to Z Fire Sales department is deceiving at the time of selling over the phone. We had used them the previous year in our small business retail shop to service our fire extinguishers and exit signs. At the time, the person who visited us said they would do it for a certain amount and we decided to switch from the company we were using as the price was much better. This year, 2013, somebody from sales called saying it was time to service our things again and that they were going to honor the same price as last year. They scheduled the service and when they were about to give us the invoice, the gentleman who performed the service, said it was 4x as much as what Joe (the sales guy) had said over the phone. A to Z Fire charged us a service call of $55.00 that no one had ever mentioned to us before. They argued when we called Customer Service department that all they could offer was an apology for the miscommunication, that the price Joe had told us over the phone was a PROMOTIONAL price. However, he never told us that and he NEVER said anything about being charged for a service call. The guy that came to do the service at our store said that we should have taken the extinguishers to their store so they could be serviced there. How would we know we had that option if Joe did not even mention it? Sales and Customer Service departments at A to Z fire are inefficient and are not truthful. They tell you one thing and do another and then all they offer is an apology. Kindly decide for yourself if this is an ethic way of doing business. If we offer a price to a customer, we will honor it, even if we made a mistake at the time of giving the price to our customer.

I visited the A to Z Fire store located at 4445 East Bay Drive #308 in Clearwater to recharge my fire extinguisher. Dan was very nice, knowledgeable and great customer service. I recommend A to Z Fire for all your fire extinguisher needs!

We never give bad reviews about companies but this one has pushed our threshold. Mr Freitag the "president" came out and gave us a quote for new extinguishers and signs which was faxed to us as an official estimate and sounded acceptable to us. 2 days later, before we agreed to get the fire extinguishers, another rep came out and gave us a hand written estimate on a piece of paper which was over double the original official estimate that was faxed to us. They told us they had no record of the original estimate and it did not exist in their database and it would not be honored.

I called Mr. Freitag to discuss the confusion and he said he would take care of it and honor his original estimate. When it was time to order the work, they added 20% more to the cost of the fire extinguishers AND tried to add $72 in trip charges that was not in the original estimate.

We got a second vendor quote and they were $40 less than the original estimate we received. We've used them for 5 years between 2 locations to "re-certify" our old extinguishers and they lost our business by trying to be greedy.

Don't use a company that won't honor their word. A to Z Fire is one of these companies.

I am sorry for your confusion and your inconvenience. We take great pride in providing our customers the best prices and the most professional service as we have for the past 20 years. Just like any other business out there, we have good days and days. I am sure that if you had a conversation with Mr.Freitag he would have worked out any discrepancies there might have been. Mr. Freitag has always worked with customers to meet there reasonable needs.
