Terrible customer service. Looking for a new provider.

My dad had a test to see if he needed oxygen. We hadn't heard anything from our doctor when this nice person from American Homepatient called to let us know they had received an order for oxygen. We were a little confused and had some questions; the nice lady took the time to explain why oxygen was being ordered and offered to contact my dad's doctor so the nurse could call us and review the test results. After being set up on the oxygen, someone called to check and see how he was doing. He feels so much better now. I'm so grateful for these people and appreciate how kind they were to us.

BEWARE of this company. After being told my mother needed a wheelchair I went to American Homepatient to rent the chair. I found out later she was intitled to a Free chair according to medicare! They billed us $15.99 A MONTH! We had the chair less than 4 months. They: Lost her payment. Forced us to pay additional payments. And threatened to send her to collections. The cost of the rental ended up being over $140.(forr 4 months) The same chair at Walgreens on a sale was $119.(and you own it!!!) If I had paid all 16 payments as scheduled the chair would have cost $256. They are rip off artists. The service sucks and so does their money handling/LAUNDERING methods. They take advantage of the elderly and the ill. I will never do business with them again.

What a terribly run facility! I went to pick up a wheelchair with an order from the MD and was greeted by some individual who was totally unaware of the process and how to answer a simple question. I waited about an hour with two ther individuals who were just as aggrivated as myself. I walked out and will NEVER return! WHO RUNS THE SHOW in that place??? They need to be fired!
