Established in 1955, Helen Keller School of Alabama serves children between the age group of 3 to 18. It offers various educational and medical programs for children with special needs. Its arts program offers motor development training and visual and tactile activities. Located in Talladega, Ala., Helen Keller School of Alabama is approved by the National Accreditation Council for Agencies Serving the Blind and Visually Impaired. The school is owned and operated by Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, which offers comprehensive educational and rehabilitation services for children and adults with visual and hearing disabilities. Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind operates several centers throughout Alabama.
