Sweeny High School provides educational classes in grades nine through 12, and serves more than 600 students. The school also offers educational programs to students with disabilities and special needs. Sweeny High School s broad range of curriculum includes Spanish, English, creative writing, journalism, health care and nursing, mathematics, science, computer technology, agriculture, history and social studies, and physical education. The school also has various art, theatre, and rodeo clubs and also has a choir. The school s athletic activities include basketball, volleyball softball, football, tennis, golf, cross-country, and track and field.
