Excellent & compassionate pet care for my furry family members!

I researched several facilities for dental services for my recently adopted rescue Springer Spaniels, and LFAH was by far my first choice. I attended one of their Open House Community Days and did a tour of the facility, and was impressed with their dental suite and services. From the pre-dental screening appointment, throughout the day of the dental work (which ended up with some surprises concerning my older dog), and all through follow up care, I received exceptional service, quality care, up-to-date information and competitive, fair pricing for the services rendered. Dr. Ami VanDeventer gave me all the options for my two dogs during our initial appointment. During the actual surgery day, she called me several times with updates and options for care when unexpected challenges presented themselves. I felt very cared for and looked after, and I appreciate the special care that all the staff at LFAH gave my pets . Because of this excellent service, I'm a new client! Thanks, Dr. Ami!

Great Vet

I began taking my two cats to LFAH several months ago, and I've had nothing but positive experiences. The facility is clean and modern, and, unlike other vet offices that are cramped, dirty and filled with waiting patients, this one is uncrowded, and I've never had to wait. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Dr, Greg Collins is very caring and knowledgeable, and he and his staff make sure to follow up on the condition of your pet. Regarding the cost, I honestly don't find it any higher than any of the vets I've been to, and I don't feel like Dr. Collins recommends tests that are not needed. This practice is about maintenance, and if you're interested in making sure that your pets, especially older ones, have the on-going care they need, then repeat visits may be necessary. In the last 5 years I have gone through 5 vets who left me unsatisfied for one reason or another, but now I feel like I found a practice that I can trust and recommend.

I Would Look AT other Vets First

I have been here a few times and really wasn't given consistent care/service at all. I got two different stories from three different vets which was very frustrating. The male doctor there seems obsessed with finding ways to spend my money. during my visit he seemed very high pressure, almost like a used car salesman. I doubt I'll ever go back and I certainly wouldn't recommend these guys. Just not that impressive.

A Vet that listens

We have been going to Dr Collins and Vandevter at Louisville Family Animal Hospital for over 7 years. They are always knowledgable and take as much time as needed to answer my silly questions. Prices seem fair and the place is immaculate. It is a very modern facility and does not smell like other places I have been. I always feel the value is what I expect. I have had cheaper but as it is said you get what you pay for and things seem to cost what they should. There is no question ever about caring and knowledge here. I do not skimp on my boys. I can say with no hesitation this is the best vet I have ever benn to.

High Prices, Low quality

I also had my pet's teeth cleaned at this vet hospital. $1800.00 later I took my pet home and ended up at the emergency hospital in the middle of the night because of an overdose in medication he received at Louisville Family Animal Hospital. Another $800.00 later I was able to take my pet home. Not only do I recommend never going to these people, But there is a much better facility across the street (Centenial Animal Hospital). I would rate lower than one star if possible.

Wonderful care for my pets

Dr. Katie Smith works at this pet hospital. She used to be my vet in San Diego. I knew she had moved to CO and when I also moved to CO a few years later, I searched for her on the internet and found her at the Louisville Animal Hospital. I was so excited because I trust her completely with the care of my 4 dogs, 1 cat. The first time I needed animal care for my dogs in CO I immediately made an appointment with Dr. Katie. I was very pleased with the wonderful care they provided me and my pets. A couple months later I needed more care for my dogs and didn't hesitate to use Louisville Animal Hospital. This time I had Dr. Collins because he is a dental specialist. He called me several times throughout the day during my dogs' procedures to ask me questions and keep me updated. I really appreciated that! It takes me 40 minutes to get to their hospital from my house, but it's totally worth it! I'm so glad I found Dr. Katie and that she is working in such an up-to-date and caring environment.

Great Staff

I have been a client at Louisville Family Animal Hospital for a few years now and there has not been any staff changes that I am aware of. They use Certified Veterinary Technicians there who are very knowledgeable and all the doctors are great. They really take the time to make sure all my questions are answered and I am comfortable. Everyone there is great! Very caring and knowledgeable.
