Federated National Insurance Company (FNIC) was formed in January of 1992 and subsequently acquired by the current shareholders of 21st Century. The acquisition of Federated National was made to provide a means to better control the business, take underwriting risk and enhance operating margins. FNIC s initial focus was in writing basic limits private passenger automobile liability and physical damage. Currently, FNIC underwrites standard and non-standard personal automobile insurance in the state of Florida and has authority to underwrite mobile home and homeowners property and casualty insurance, as well as flood insurance, in the state of Florida.
