Natural Stone and Tile Lawrence Tile & Marble started in 1958 by Don Lawrence Sr. and his wife Shirley has been servicing contractors and remodelers for 52 years, and is currently managed by son David Lawrence. 1981 would begin the first expansion within this now nationally recognized family owned and operated company. With their sons, David and Don Lawrence Jr, they added to their operations a cultured marble plant in order to manufacture items such as whirlpool tubs, wall panels, and vanity sinks. A second expansion would occur in 1996 when the Lawrences noticed an increasing popularity in the granite countertop industry. Researching this newest trend allowed them to see firsthand issues that were already arising in the industry with customers ordering their countertops based off samples that didn't match the actual materials installed in their homes. Understanding that natural stone has a variety of shade and color variations, the Lawrence's decided to open a new company under the management of son Don Lawrence Jr, by the name of Natural Stone Distributors. With the customers best interest in mind, Don Jr decided to import the materials direct from Quarry's all over the world, so that the customer could see the actual piece of granite they were going to have installed in their home. This service has been appreciated by customers and fabricators alike. Natural Stone Distributors which is currently located at 10545 Hwy 64 East just outside of Arlington now proudly displays nationally known quality tile lines that are exclusive to the company for the Mid South area. Since the opening of this second company, Natural Stone Distributors has opened branches in Nashville, TN; Jackson, MS; and the Gulf-Coast-Mobile area. The year of 2010 marks the expansion of the home office showroom on Hwy 64 at a time when the Lawrence's expect to see an upturn in the economy and the opportunity for a third generation grandson to move the company into the future. For over 52 years the Lawrence name has instilled trust, honesty and satisfaction to their customers and the continued growth of the company is a direct result to their dedication to their customers and the industry as a whole.
