Big Sugar's cupcakes are moist, not too sweet and have actual flavor other than just sugar. I am super picky about strawberry flavored cakes and cupcakes - Big Sugar's had tiny pieces of strawberries in them. They weren't just pink colored cupcakes called 'strawberry'. They also have decent coffee (free refills!).

There are some amazing bread in here. The brownies and the variety of them are amazing, they also have a great selection of cup cakes, they also have good cakes in here.

Within the last 6 months, I've had cupcakes from:

-Joans On Third: B

-Sprinkles: B-

-Alcove: C- (so sweet they were almost inedible)

-Toast: B-

-Magnolia (NYC): B+



However, I finally feel that I hit the cupcake jackpot in LA! Big Sugar's cupcakes are so moist, not too sweet and have actual flavor other than just sugar. They also have decent coffee (free refills!). I live in WeHo, but will try to get here as often as I have a cupcake craving...which is quite a bit! Oh yeah and the price: $2.50 per cupcake - you can't beat that!
