I used Western Mechanical several years ago, so I went to them again when I had problems in my current house. The service was AWFUL - we had to reschedule the repair three times, and I had to call and ask where they were for the first two times. We also were overcharged by 1.25 hours for their first call and got charged for one of the calls they didn't show up for until I called to find out where they were. Their billing and service practices are bad enough that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I doubt it will do any good, but they obviously aren't paying attention to their bad reviews.

Very Unfair Billing

We had a simple job, should have taken 30 minutes max, and were billed over $200. Wish i paid attention - every review is negative.

Have used Western Mechanical f...

Have used Western Mechanical for several plumbing and A/C calls.

Their responsiveness is average, their quality of work is average. Their plumbers are well mannered and pleasant.

Their prices are never the best value. They charge you a "Plumbing Service Fee", even when you get major work done. They also charge you by their "pricing Book", unless it benefits them to charge you extra based on their perceived level of difficulty.

One way benefit for them. If the job takes less time, they benefit. If it takes more time than the book estimate, they charge you extra.

Will look for another plumber in Stillwater

I have been very disappointed ...

I have been very disappointed over the service I received over the last 4-5 years. On various projects we have spent close to $35,000 with Western Mechanical over the last 10 years.

A little over 10 years ago we had Western Mechanical select and install our central air system. The price was completive and the system well known (RUDD). In the first few years we owned the unit there were several repairs due to a "board burning out" ($400-$600, each time).

Then we had 3 years of problem free operation, but over the last 5 years we have spent between $300-$1000 every year on repairs. The last two times I made it clear (even talking to management) that if they couldn't fix these continuous problems I would never be their customer again.

Western Mechanical selected the unit, installed the unit and have been the only ones to service the unit, until now.

I will never use Western Mechanical again.
