Weldon Rehabilitation Hospital, founded in 1974 and located in Springfield, Mass., provides health care to the people of the region. The hospital is an integrated, nonprofit facility offering inpatient, outpatient, day rehabilitation and pediatric services. Coordinated and integrated medical and rehabilitation services are provided 24-hours a day. It has a staff of more than 150, including pharmacists, speech pathologists, pain psychologists, care managers and dietitians. The institution treats conditions, such as arthritis, asthma, back pain, balance problems, brain injuries, chronic pain, orthopedics, strokes, sports injuries, pediatrics, and head injuries. It also treats cardiac conditions, brain juries, cancers, and development disorders.
