He was paid to do a job and didn’t show up, he sent someone else. Not at anytime when meeting with was the bride told that he would not be the one doing the job. She even met with him the Wednesday per for wedding and was told him and his assistant would be there. His assistant that he sent was constantly outside having a cigarette.

Brad is a conceded jerk who doesn't know when to stop. I used to go to his karaoke gigs with a few friends, but i stopped after 6mo. Brad couldn't quit messing with the rotation, and would move people around so no one knew who was up when. He would put himself in where ever he wanted. He was very unprofessional hitting on anyone who so much as looked at him. He would make vulgar comments even when there were children present. When he wasn't there his Dj did a rather good job and kept everything running smoothly.

I wouldn't trust Brad handling my wedding or any other event. If you feel you must use his service please request one of his other DJs and NOT HIM>

For the Wedding that took place August 8, 2015

This client cancelled three times prior to her

wedding. As a Wedding DJ, i could've cancelled

on her. But i decided to go ahead as planned.

The DJ that did the wedding as over 10 years of

experience. He also played off the list of songs the bride requested. He also played Jazz music

during the dinner.

As for hearing music in the back of the room, yes it is hard to hear, the way the rooms are set up there.

As for Brad , he had another event out of town that he was doing.

I was not in the wrong here, like i said, she cancelled three time.

WOW HORRIBLE SERVICE We had our daughters wedding this weekend 8-8-15 Had a signed contract with the owner to DJ the wedding, he sent a man dressed very unprofessionally, dirty and lacking hygiene. The DJ did not play the songs requested as the wedding party walked into the reception, had difficulty working the microphone, sat for a minimum of an hour during dinner with his hand over his mouth which appeared as if he was sucking his thumb. The same instrumental song played for this entire hour. Was asked to turn music up for guests in the back of the room could hear numerous times to no avail. Was asked to make announcement regarding beverages and he stumbled threw that twice. I called both numbers to Brad Schroeder shortly after these problems arose and as of Monday afternoon I have still received no response. Highly unacceptable service and professionalism at wedding.

I was at a wedding where Brad Schroeder was the DJ. I have to tell you I was very impressed with the music, the sound quality, the professionalism, and the lighting that was placed around the room. I set the stage for a an amazing reception. The room was full of fun and excitement. I would fully recommend Schroeder's DJ Service to all of my friends. Again, I was very impressed.

... And now a word from the owner,I have owned Schroeder's DJ service for 29 years. We were recently voted best DJ service by the local newspaper the State Journal Register. I would like to remind you that my job is unique in comparison to other jobs. We provide a service where things can be influenced by external factors such as, alcohol consumption, family issues and differences in musical taste. I would ask that you keep this in mind when you are reading any review of a DJ service. I am not a one man operation and have different rate packages for myself and the staff of my service. We always meet with the couples at least twice before the big day. We look forward to being your service provider for all your music needs.

You did a fantastic job Sunday evening for Debra and Tim's wedding at the Proven Grounds in Pekin. Brad was very friendly, enthusiastic, and personable. He really knew how to work the crowd and get people pumped up! Schroeder's DJ service is highly recommended!!!!

DO NOT BOOK BRAD SCHROEDER! He lied to us multiple times, took advantage of us, and didn't show up to the wedding. I don' think there is anything else I can say that hasn't already been said about him. Do not book this DJ.

Find another DJ. This company has 9 complaints on the Better Business Bureau. I could not find another DJ Company in Springfield with even 1 complaint on the BBB. Buyer Beware. This is not the company you want to use!

Our family used Schroeder s DJ service a few years ago for a wedding. Our first complaint is: We were told directly several times by Mr. Schroeder that he would be the DJ for the day night but he sent someone else whom we hadn t met until the day of the wedding. Secondly....The DJ that he sent was caught watching pornography on his laptop while sitting at the table playing music. Several people in the reception saw this behavior and complained. Third - When we attempted to receive a portion of our paid fee from Mr. Schroeder because our event was ruined by this very unprofessional behavior, he was very reluctant.

We were promised that we would have "Brad" as our DJ if we contracted with him that day, then on the wedding day we have one of his associates there. He showed up for 20 min. long enough to eat a plate of our food and leave. When I confronted him about this I was told that "I hired a service and this is a part of their service" Trust your money with someone else.
