embroidery

I had a small book showed how to make stitches for embroidery and some how I cannot find it and I have look at every store in Decatur Illinois, haven't been able to find one , I haven't embroidery in a long time and I just want to embroidery letters and I want it to look nice, do you carry anything like that to how toembroidery?I plan to come to,Springfield and I thought maybe you can help me.
