- Brought my Kia Optima to C.A.R.S. based on good Google reviews and it was near my home
- Was told they don't do alignments, but would diagnose the problem anyway
- Learned they had sent my car to NTB for alignment while I was out getting coffee
- I was told the alignment would set a baseline whereby they could determine if the issue was more complex
- After the alignment, the car stilled pulled to the right and I was told I needed new struts and shocks, and likely a Camber Bolt kit to fix the issue
- The estimate for all work was $1850.00 (not including the camber bolt kit)

Brought car to Beck & Masten Kia in Tomball. Here's what they did to fix it:
- THEY ALIGNED THE CAR
- I paid $92

That's a difference of $1758.00 that I didn't have to spend, folks!

C.A.R.S's slogan is "Welcome back to affordable car care." They must've taken their cue from the folks who dreamed up the "Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)!"

I brought my truck up to their shop and told them my fuel pump is going bad and needed replacement. They said they would call me in about an hour but lost my phone number. When I finally woke up (I work graveyard) I had to call them. They tried charging me 2 hours for diagnosis when I told them what was wrong. Then $350 for a fuel pump I could get for $250 at Autozone and $150 for a fuel filter which I could get for $75 also at Autozone. Final cost was a total over $1100. I wish I would have called around first because the next 4 shops I called all quoted me under $700 for the same job. I know how long it takes to change a fuel pump in my truck cause I have done it before on others just like mine. Same year model and make. They charged me $600 in labor for a job I can do in a little under 2 hours. I am reporting them to the better business bureau.

I spoke to Ray over the phone the morning I took my truck in. He assured me that he could replace the U-Joint and have the vehicle back to me the same day as it was my sole means of transportation. He called me later that day to inform me that it was finished. I picked the truck up and couldn't go over 35mph without it feeling like the truck was going to shake apart. I turned around and brought the truck back. He said they would look at it again. I waited and they once again said it was ready to go. I took off down the road and the truck started shaking like crazy just like before. I took it back a third time. He informed me that they were closing and that I would simply have to come back tomorrow. I didn't have a ride home and lived over an hour away. Not only did he lie to my face, but his mechanic failed to actually test the work he did on my truck twice. I then called a tow truck and had my truck delivered to another mechanic. The new mechanic found out that Ray's mechanic managed to remove a bearing on the drive shaft that holds a sleeve in place and also didn't install the U-Joint correctly.



I returned to CARS today to ask Ray to pay for my tow. He absolutely refused and stated that allowing me to sleep in my truck overnight or inconvenience someone I knew to drive two hours late at night was the acceptable course of action. He also expected me to allow him to further work on my truck after he failed to actually test it TWICE.



This is by far the single worst mechanic I have ever encountered. Do not spend your money here. Do not waste your time.

I keep coming back because I know they won't try to sell me something I don't need. Fast. Nice. Clean.

I had a serious car emergency, I called C.A.R.S they provided free towing, dropped me off at work, completed same day service then brought my car back to me at work! I highly recommed them.

It's hard to find an honest trustworthy mechanic nowdays. However I have found that C.A.R.S. is a friendly trustworthy place that will do good work at a reasonable price and you know that they are not ripping you off. I'm glad they are in buisness, and you will be too!

Single mother with a child who has a medical condition - A/C went out in my car with heat index at 109 degrees. They were so concerned and immediately checked my car and found the problem, ordered the part and had it in my car within a day. Up front pricing (which by the way was the deal of a lifetime). They also looked at my entire car and gave me recommendations of what else I would need in the near future. I was looking for a mechanic who would be fair honest and not try to rip me off since I am a single women and boy did I find it here. If you need work done GO to C.A.R.S. they don't give you any BS and will do everything they can to help you with great customer service. THEY ARE THE BEST around. THANKS GUYS and Samanatha........you were a life saver to me and my children and I will always bring my car to you for EVERYTHING. they also gave me a ride home while my car was in the shop The best people..........ever.

Dropped my car off in the evening, it was ready the next day. I couldn't pick it up for a couple of days. They kept it locked up washed it for me and cleaned the engine. The work I had done was also 1st class. I recommend them to anyone needing fast and affordable service.
