The Owner is VERY RUDE and Condescending and doesn't know how to speak to people and has a very poor demeanor. If I had employees like him and his secretary speaking the way they do with my customers and being so impatient and rude AND condescending and judgemental, I'd FIRE them.

He speaks to you like ur dumb cause ur SUPPOSED to know about SOD and how the process works. His secretary gives wrong info and he won't stand by what she says. I brought to his attention 4 times about his way of speaking to me and he just laughs and says oh all right and yet I still gave him a chance and he was still rude. His answer was, i'm not yelling at u. He thinks cause he isn't yelling he isn't being rude or condescending. I don't appreciate being spoken to like i'm stupid cause I never ordered sod and have questions. He said I SHOULD KNOW these things, like I was told in school that it's a MUST to learn about sod and how it works, especially if i'm new to the state of florida. I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt since I saw sooooooooooooooooooo mannnnnnny bad reviews on this business. In fact, on FOUR different sites on google, will find he has 2 and 2 1/2 out of five and a big chunk of it is his attitude and business shadiness. I'm very big on customer service. Why should I pay u my HARD earned money over many other businesses? U have to earn it, with GOOD or normal quality customer service. I was discusted by his. It seems florida in general has extremely bad customer service and have a different mentality towards what customer service or punctuality should be.

THEN when I asked him at 7:45 am in the morning if it would be possible to have something done today, he came out nasty after laughing saying "LOLOL, what do u think this is, u expect me to just have a pallet here of SOD waiting for u without placing an order so I it can just go bad or me take a chance on it going bad, lol, this is a business, what do u think"? U don't think that was rude? The attitude was uncalled for, it was a QUESTION cause I didn't go get a bachelors of science on SOD like he obviously did. This is just some of the rudeness cause he said quite a lot on top of the attitude and condescending wording. Just to give u an idea. I will not be spoken to like this nor disrespected, I love myself and don't have low self esteem like a lot of people do.

The next thing was price. I called the secretary during the first day of the week (MIND U she ALSO was as impatient as her owner cause I guess she also felt I should have KNOWN about SOD and how it all works) and she gave me a price on several few 100's of sq ft. When I call at the end of the week, the owner says she was wrong and by a BIG margin at that. I asked him how can u employ someone that gives such a huge difference in price, especially when I said i'd call today. He said OH WELL, that's LIFE, people make mistakes, u can go buy somewhere else. WOW, if my secretary made several verbal mistakes, as a credible business with integrity, id hold up to it and own up to the several mistakes and at least work with the customer, but not these two.

He has a CONSISTENT amount of NEGATIVE feedback. Could all these people be so wrong? And at FOUR Different sites?

If u guys like putting up with RUDENESS and MAJOR lack of customer service and no etiquette whatsoever, if u don't have any kind of morals or respect for yourself and think this type of business and customer service is OK, then u deserve this companies services. I shouldn't have been so patient with them after the first time they spoke to me the way they did, yet I gave them FOUR tries. I have too much self respect for myself to give them my hard earned money.

Scheduled for Wednesday on Monday. Wednesday -no show, no call. I called them and they said something about 'forgetting about another job and needing to do that." rescheduled for Friday. No call, no show again. Tried texting salesman 5 times starting around 8:00AM, called office several times. They never picked up or returned call. I gave the business to Hernando Sod. If you can get them to come out, they do good work. When you really count on them, they let you down, and then don't bother responding until you tell them to cancel.

What a horrible experience I had. The landscaper over shot the order I called and told Josephinaabout it and she had it approved thru Arnold to pick up the pallet of unused sod for a 35.00 fee and they never showed up. @ days in a row. I had guys that would have been able to return it but they told me they wwere moving it to another job. Now they are saying they cant pick it up at all. I believe they over billed me on purpose. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD

I called five different sod farms and all said the two pallets I needed was not available within 4 days. Most said they would get back to me and never did. I was impressed Ramirez Sod Company had what I needed and were able to deliver it on a Saturday morning. The price was good. The two pallets were delivered early as I requested. The driver called to tell me he was on his way. A few of the pieces were infested with fire ants but that is not uncommon. Overall I was pleased with the sod and the staff.

I have tried all different sod types, recommended by local landscapers and sod companies and through the years I have purchased sod from them all. I can not tell you how many were rude, had horrible customer service, an/or terrible sod. I have delt with Ramirez from estimates, delieveries, resoddings, and installations. But I must say and be completely honest, everytime I have used them, I have never had an issue, yea the bahia broke up in pieces here and there, but thats bahia for ya- do your research before you buy it, Sod buyers, please be well informed of the product you are buying, and just because a company has a few bad reviews, don t take it for granted. There are good and bad sod companies out there but this is NOT a bad company. I appricate their business and I will continue to buy from them without hesitation. I hope my review has helped anyone with a doubt. Thanx !

BAD!

As a lawn care and landscape business I have never seen sod with weeds and ants. As for them being on time forget it. They were 4 hours late. I had to hand throw it with my wife instead of my crew. I caution anyone who wants to do business with them. Try Sod Farm on Ridge Rd. Never had a problem. You always get whole pieces of sod not some nice pieces on top and then small broken pieces for the rest of the pallet. Its BS!!!

horrible business!! Was promised a delivery after lunch, I spoke to the owner 3 times she guaranteed I was on the delivery for that day. At 6::30 pm a driver calls to tell me its too late for a delivery. Owner states its drivers fault she wont even admit to her own wrong doings!! sty far away unless you want to waste eNtire daY LIKE i DID

Unfortunately, people have only written regarding their bad experiences with Ramirez. I have 1.25 acre property and have been battling with sod issues for YEARS! I have gone to about all local sod companies, even tried the fields -but they were unable to sell to me. I have tried all different sod types, recommended by local landscapers and sod companies and through the years I have purchased sod from them all. I can not tell you how many were rude, had horrible customer service, and/or terrible sod. I have delt with Ramirez through out this process as well, from estimates, deliveries, resoddings, and installations. But I must say and be completely honest, everytime I have used them, I have never had an issue, yea the bahia broke up in pieces here and there, but thats bahia for ya- do your research before you buy it, just because your neighbor likes doesn t mean you will (I had that problem with zoysia-worst sod!) Sod buyers, please be well informed of the product you are buying, and just because a company has a few bad reviews, don t take it for granted. There are good and bad sod companies out there but this is NOT a bad company. I appriciate their business and I will continue to buy from them without hesitation. IF IT WAS POSSIBLE TO GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD HAVE THEY TOLD ME IT WAS 13,600 SQ FT I WAS GOING TO PAY 3,600 DOLLARES CASH THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH SOD TO FINISH THE JOB Arnold the sonlaw said he had made a mistake of how big the property is i had to pay a extra 900.00 dollares for his mistake and his wife witch is the owner's daughter said it was a human mistake she was very rude ,still the job is not complete when i went to the office the one with black hair grabed my purse and pushed me there was the two sisters in the office. I went by myself, always have someone with you for witness. I had wished i know this from the beginning, I had talked to Mike he lives in spring hill , he said that was family business and he gets his sod from them , he recomended them, he is very wrong. They even speak a diffrent language so we don't know what they are talking about , trust me read the reviews (STAY AWAY FROM THEM )

The sod they delivered was in tiny pieces & full of bugs and weeds... the entire reason I had to replace my lawn in the 1st place:) The lady on the phone basically told me that I got what I paid for (cut up grass from a cow pasture). Further, each pallet was supposed to cover 400 sq. ft. However, 3 pallets (which should have covered 1200 sq. ft. only covered 856 sq. ft. So, I called to ask them if they would come out to my house measure the sod that had been laid and give me the difference at no charge. The lady that I spoke with was a completely unprofessional and had no customer service skills whatsoever. I told her that I would call my credit card company to ammend the charge and that they could come by anytime to reclaim their sod and measure it out while they are picking it up off of my lawn. She then welcomed my threat... telling me that they have a credit card company with lawyers that would fight me. Thumbs down on the product and the customer service. I would recommend any other company over this one, if you are looking to get sod. Please do yourself a favor and pay they extra $10 per pallet of sod and don't use this company!

There is absolutely no customer service at this place. The estimator showed up days late, and the office staff is rude over the phone and does not return calls. There is no follow up with this company. Its a shame they dont have their act together because they advertise prices less than the competition.....but I guess you get what you pay for. I am amazed that any small business can be so careless and not interested in new customers in this struggling economy. My job was worth thousands of dollars. Take note Ramirez Sod and improve your follow up and customer service manners and skills, if not get ready to shut your doors for good!

Their estimator called me yest...

Their estimator called me yesterday and advised she'd be over today, between 9am and 12pm, to do an estimate. I took time off of work, only to sit here until 12:30pm without even a phone call explaining what the heck was going on. Left at 12:45pm & signed a contract with another sod company in the area for 15,200SF of Bahia. Called Ramirez office at 1:15pm to advise them what had occurred. The girl who answered advised that she'd be sure to let the owner know. I guess the economy is going so well for Ramirez Sod that they can afford to stand-up customers.

Buyer beware

I order one pallet and set a time for delivery...i left work 2 hours early to be sure I was there (3:00 pm) ...when the time passed I called (3:30 pm) and the owners daughter (manager) told me it should be shortly and she would call. I waited an additional hour and called back to get the run around about not being able to make deliveries after 4 pm on Fridays (clearly we know where their priorities are)..she said she would place me on first thing in morning...I explained i took off work based how she instructed me. She said I shouldn't have because she never called for the 30 minute advance warning????? So maybe they will come and maybe they won't???? I said I would agree to the morning if she took the 25.00 delivery charge off the order due to me having to leave work early. She said se would not..I told her she was loosing business over 25.00 and that it would have to be that way b/c she was not waiving the delivery charge. She continuously spoke over me, raised her voice, dismissed and discounted what I was explaining.



1. She scheduled time for a customer and had no intention of following through.

2. She did not call even to inform it would not be same day.

3. She lost 100.00 for teh 25.00 delivery charge.

4. My one pallet would have been one of many on the truck indicating that there was a decision based on her emotional decision rather than a business decision.



NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPNAY. TO MANY COMPANIES OUT THERE PROVIDING THIS SERVICE TO TOLERATE THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR.

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with our service. I personally spoke with you and you did order the sod on the same day you wanted it delivered. We do let our customers know we do same day deliveries as long as the sod and delivery truck are available. On that particular day the sod was coming in late and our truck was unavailable at that moment, due to taking prior deliveries already on schedule. I did inform you that I would take your order but that I was not certain on when it would be delivered, we would be delivering either later that day or the following morning but that we would call 30 mins before delivery and you said as long as we call before delivery it would be fine. On the delivery fee we do wavie delivery fees only if you order 1 or more days prior and we were not able to deliver on date scheduled. I tried to explain why we couldn't do the delivery til the following day as professional and polite as possible. Again I do apologize on behave of Ramirez sod.
