This store has a great selection of wedding invitations (they probably have other stuff also, but that is what I was looking for). In fact, they had THE invitation that my fiance wanted. After weeks of searching we found what we wanted. We came into the shop, adjusted the wording on our invitations, decided how many to order and thought we were on our way.



Problem 1:

After determining what we wanted and how much it would be ($600+) we were asked for a 15% deposit. That sounded great to me and I happily reached for my wallet. The first major red flag followed shortly there after. While holding a calculator, the young lady helping us had a puzzled look on her face and asked my fiance and I, "Well do either one of you know how to do percentages?" Yikes. Needless to say, my confidence in the sales person was gone and it didn't bode well for the store.



Problem 2:

After placing the our order and anxiously waiting for a proof of our wedding invitation, which my fiance was very excited about, I received an email with outrageous news. Instead of a $10 proof as our original agreement stated (of which one proof fee was going to be waived), they asked for $150 per proof. Now I'm not sure how often you (the reader) work with print shops, but they often offer a free proof as the customer's guarantee of size, color, layout of purchased good (invitation in this case). Another major red flag - this one ended our partnership with the shop.



These two separate incidences may not add up to much, but the negotiation and work between the two was unbearable. This shop is entirely unprofessional and I would give anyone thinking about going there a stern warning. And to those that want to go anyway, good luck!
