I brought my Toyota Pickup to City East Auto Body in 2008 to have the hood repaired. I had purchased a new hood, hinges, and hardware and requested a quote for the total replacement. I was quoted 2 hours of labor for about $150.00. When they returned with my vehicle in about 15 minutes, the shop manager told me that it didn't require a replacement and the mechanic decided to repair the hood instead. I was reluctant but agreed to accept the work. But when the manager requested for $150.00, I was shocked. I protested saying the $150.00 quote was for a hood replacement, not 15 minutes of repair. I offered to pay 1 hour of shop time. That's when the manager informed me that I must pay full price or I would not see my vehicle again. Needless to say, I'll never do business with these people again.
