I've hate some if the worst experiences at this location from my pets being cut too short, to bad attitudes from employees and I will never go back there...they have a "pet satisfaction guarantee"'stating that if you don't like your pet they will make it right or it's free. Well, how do U "make it right" when you've cut my pet too short or crooked? Or if you've chopped the hair so badly til to "make it right" would be unsafe for the dog...I have more than one pet each with a different type of fur/hair and after giving them a chance with all 4, thinking perhaps I was being too picky, and the same result was experienced with each one, I decided to stop going! So I just say, buyer beware. I learned that they get their training on OUR pets, so you might get what you asked for, but more than likely you won't, so if getting your pet groomed and wanting it to look good isn't a concern for you, this location is perfect! And I won't even go into the attitude of some of the groomers or the fact that many of the services are a'la cart....Petco is where the my "pets go" now! I HATE petsmart tel twelve

I took my dog for a gooming at Pet smart in Southfield, perfectly healthy with records to prove. I returned a few hours later to find his leg wobbling, once I returned home the condition worsen he began to walk like a seal and was unable to use his hind limbs. I called the groomer and asked if he had fell since I notice that he was loosing his balance she stated no. I rushed him to the Vet, later to find that my dog has suffered a slip disc in his back, neck and sustained a spinal swelling (stroke) due to the trauma. The specialist stated that the injury was either from a car hitting him or falling from a high place such as a grooming station. My dog had to have emergency surgery before he becomes completely paralyzed and I would have no choice but to euthanize. My cocker spaniel suffered trauma, comparable to a car hitting him from getting a shampoo and trim BEWARE !!!!!!!!! If you love your pet STAY AWAY FROM PET SMART!

Staff is friendly, love dogs -- the dogs clearly also love the staff. My dog absolutely loves going to Day Camp. Comes home tired and happy. The Pets Hotel is also a great. Even the cashiers are great. They are always happy, friendly and courteous. Brittany is the best!
