This library is a throw-back to the older, small town libraries you may find about fifty years ago. It sits in the middle of a block surrounded by small little houses and it's overall size and services makes one feel right at home. The selection is pretty current. The librarians are pretty friendly and helpful; and their overall reference and IT sections are pretty good for a library of this size. And it is the kind of small library that one can always feel comfortable in when doing any sort of research or simply hanging out on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Some people may like larger libraries but I like my local library in South Pasadena. It has stations for your laptops, a great book store to purchase books plus a wide assortment of selections in paperback and hard cover. If you do not find what you need the staff can order it for the library.
