Compass Moving and Storage was established in 2005 by John Hardy. With one truck and a firm commitment to providing a professional, personal and caring approach to moving Compass Moving was launched. John is a veteran of the Gulf War, a husband and father of 4 boys. He has worked in the moving industry since 1995 and has put his knowledge and hard work ethic into making Compass Moving a firmly established and viable business. Peg Hatt is an experienced moving consultant, and has also worked in the moving industry for 17 years. With her expertise and understanding of the stressful nature of moving, she will help to provide cost effective tips as well as a free and accurate estimate of your moving cost. Our staff is all full time professionally trained movers. Jack, John's uncle, is one of our long distance drivers. His on time delivery and up to date communication with his shippers provide a "no guess delivery date move." We do not hire sub-contractors, so you will know from the load to the unloading who will be delivering you shipment. Our crew chiefs have years of experience and can be relied upon to take the utmost care and concern with your personal belongings. The crew has all been trained in packing and the art of moving anything from a priceless antique, a Steinway piano or favorite old wheel barrow. Our philosophy is to act as though we are moving our parents. We will be just as careful taking care of your home and your treasures.
